Privacy Policy
Effective October 20, 2026
1. Who we are
RenoMax ("we", "us") is a home renovation company based in Toronto, Ontario, serving the Greater Toronto Area. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and when you contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Questions or requests about your information: call (416) 262‑4919 (Mon–Fri 9am–5pm) or send us a message through the quote form on this site.
2. What we collect
- Information you give us when you request a quote or contact us: your name, phone number, email address, the type of project, the project details you describe, and any photos, plans or addresses you choose to send.
- Technical information that any website receives when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested and the time of the request. This is recorded in standard server logs by our website hosting provider and used only to run and secure the site.
- Usage data — only if you click "Accept" in the cookie banner: the pages you view, how you reached the site (for example from a Google search or a Facebook or Instagram ad), your device and browser, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. It is collected through cookies by Google Analytics and Meta Pixel. If you decline, none of this is collected.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools on this website, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
For the cookies and similar technologies this website uses, see our Cookie Policy.
3. How we use it
- to reply to your inquiry and prepare an estimate or quote;
- to schedule, carry out and follow up on work you hire us for;
- to issue invoices and keep the business and tax records we are required to keep;
- to keep this website working and protect it from abuse;
- with your consent only, to understand how visitors use the site and to measure and improve our advertising.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to keep you informed.
4. Consent
By sending us a quote request or contacting us, you consent to us using your information for the purposes above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us; we will then stop using your information, except where we must keep records by law or to complete work already agreed.
5. Who we share it with
- Service providers that run our tools on our behalf — our email provider (Google), our contact-form service (Web3Forms), which delivers quote requests to our inbox, and our website hosting provider. They may only use the information to provide their service to us.
- Trades and suppliers working on your project, only the details they need to do their part (for example, the job address).
- Google (Google Analytics), only if you accept cookies — to give us statistics on how the site is used. We do not use Google advertising features on this site.
- Meta Platforms (Meta Pixel), only if you accept cookies — to measure the results of our Facebook and Instagram ads. Meta may also use this information under its own policies, including to show you ads on Facebook and Instagram.
- Authorities, when we are required to by law.
Some of these providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States. Information held there is protected by contract but may be accessible to authorities under the laws of that country.
6. Third-party content
This site's typefaces are hosted on the site itself, so visiting it does not connect your browser to any third-party server — unless you accept cookies, in which case your browser loads Google Analytics and Meta Pixel from those companies' servers. Our Facebook and Instagram buttons are plain links: nothing from those platforms is loaded until you click, and once you are on their sites their own privacy policies apply.
7. How long we keep it
Inquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted within 24 months. If you become a client, we keep project and billing records for as long as needed for warranty purposes and at least as long as Canadian tax law requires (generally six years).
Usage statistics in Google Analytics are kept for no longer than 14 months. Data collected by Meta Pixel is kept by Meta under its own data policy. Your cookie choice is remembered for 13 months, after which we ask again.
8. How we protect it
We use reasonable safeguards — password-protected accounts, access limited to the people who need it, and secure (HTTPS) connections to this website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you if a breach puts it at real risk.
9. Your rights
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted where we are not required to keep it. Call us at (416) 262‑4919 or send a request through the quote form, and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
10. Children
This website and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
